With the nicer weather, we've had an uptick in thefts from cars in the neighborhood. Car breakins sometimes happen even when no valuables are visible, so please make sure to bring your valuable items, including portable electronics such as phones, iPods, and GPS receivers, inside your home once you've parked.

If you see suspicious activity, keep out of the way but discreetly pay attention so you could describe the person or group of people; then call 9-1-1 to report the activity.
